BLACK BERRY BOLD

My BlackBerry Bold Review

What Was Included in the Box:-
1. BlackBerry Bold 9000 Smartphone
2. Hands-free 3.5mm stereo headset
3. BlackBerry travel charger
4. USB cable
5. 1500 mAhr Lithium Ion battery
6. BlackBerry User Tools CD with BlackBerry Desktop Software Media Manager
7. Getting Started Guide
8. Quick Start Guide
My First Impressions:-
1. Slim device with a high resolution screen.
2. The Bold is well built and of high quality. The device seems very sturdy.
3. The speaker phone is very loud
Pros:-
1. The call quality is a lot better than my AT&T Tilt was.
2. The reception is excellent. I now receive a 3G signal inside of thick buildings where my Tilt would switch to Edge.
3. The earpiece is very loud especially at the highest setting.
4 The Speaker is very loud and clear. This is one of the best speaker phones that I have had in a cell phone.
5. The processor is faster and applications seem to switch faster than they did in my Tilt.
6. Great form factor. The phone fits easily into my hand and is comfortable to hold.
7. The vibrate setting is as good as my Tilt.
8. The battery life is excellent considering that I have it on all day and it downloads emails on a constant basis.
9. The standalone GPS is one of the best that I have had in a phone. I was able to unlock BlackBerry Maps since AT&T disables it and tries to make you use their AT&T Navigator service for $9.99/month.
10. Setting up email accounts is easy and can be done online via their secure site or right from my BlackBerry.
Cons:-1. This is a non touch screen device (took me getting used to since I was used to my Tilt).2. Non WM device so my old WM only programs do not work with this.3. The built in browser is not as efficient as IE, Skyfire, or Opera. What Was Easy to Do:1. Blue tooth pairing with my Motorola H700 and my Kenwood DDX512 6”+ touch screen with added blue tooth.2. Syncing my Outlooks contacts, calendar appointments, tasks, and notes via BlackBerry Desktop Manager.3. Setting up my 7 POP3 email accounts (3 personal and 4 business accounts) (instead of having to input the ingoing and outgoing settings like I had to do with my Tilt, the Bold knew the server settings for all 7 of my email accounts).Third Party Applications Installed:1. Google Maps2. The Weather Channel 2.0 for BlackBerry3. Live Search4. Opera MiniPictures Taken with My BlackBerry Bold:Sunset Over The Everglades:Poinsettia Tree at Southwest Florida International Airport:Our Live 8' Fraser Fir Christmas Tree (after We Set It Up a Few Weeks Ago):Our Christmas Lights with Our New Artificial Spare Tree in the Front WIndow:

B -MEMBRANE LAPTOP/ P.C

B-membrane Laptop/Desktop

HI FOLKS,
I wish you all a very 'happy new year 2009'.
As usual ,any technology in the begining used create or make/start with a very big impact.By and by the impact or the passion will slow down gradually. Here the time for the innovators to crush their brain to do something to inspire / retain the coustomers.one of the means to attract is to add additional features/quality of the product in less/same price. The other main means are the "product size factor".
As, we all have / would have experienced this in our life, for example- ' the tape recorder, pager, mobile phones,t.v,computer etc' - all these items/products/gadgets were big in size when it is introduced/launched . By and by as time progress, the manfacturer start reducing the product size 'from big to small/miniature size'. This is how the room size p.c become a desk top and than lap top...now it is called 'lip-top' and in the near future it is going to be the membrane technology.. it is going to give you a all new perspectives in all its size, utality and so on.

Concept computer designed by Korean designer Won-Seok Lee.
No bulky monitors, just a UFO shape system that displays screen like a projector. He has taken the need for a bulky monitors right out of the equation and opted for beaming your YouTubing onto any surface you can point the omni-directional projector at.
Some highlights of this Kubrick inspired mother ship computer include a membrane keyboard that appears when needed, integrated optical drive and when not used as a computer, the projector can beam ambient light effects on any surface you desire.

PEEK CEO

Peek CEO:

Sarva and co. are pretty convinced that while the Peek may not be the perfect device for the hardcore gadget junkie, it is the perfect device for their moms or girl friends (or boyfriends, we assume) .

in fact, they're so convinced that they're offering to pay a month of said junkie's iPhone or G1 bill (up to $150) if they buy a Peek for their mom... and girlfriend.

According to Amol, if you buy two of the devices (which you can get for $79.95 right now) and activate them, the company will cover your November cellphone bill. Amol himself will be heading up this project, and as long as you place your order by December 1st, you can make the magic happen. Wildly, Amol says to just email him with the account info at: amol (at) getpeek (dot) com.

ASUS EeeTOP ET1602-TOUCH SCREEN

At first glance, ASUS’ Eee Top ET1602 is the epitome of a niche product.
Packing nettop-spec hardware in an all-in-one form factor, with a touchscreen and general design that seem to have stopped by HP’s TouchSmart and the Apple iMac along the way, it’s certainly tough to pin down. Innovative new segment or just another Eee oddity: Slash Gear set to finding out.

NAPKIN PC

Napkin PC
The Napkin PC is a multi-user, multi-interface, modular computer designed for creative professionals to collaborate and bring their greatest ideas to life.

We saw several napkin idea concepts last year but this is the first to utilize e-ink and RF technology. The Napkin PC is designed for group collaborations. Each pen transmits your doodles to the base station which is a PC in disguise. That information gets processed and displayed on the napkin like e-ink paper. Cool idea but someone better make sure nobody decides to wipe their dirty lunch stains with one.

NOKIA E-series E71

Nokia E71
This Smartphone Means Business, Lets You Toggle to Personal Life. The E71 looks more like a Blackberry killer, but don't be fooled: This great white hope from Finland is a smart device that gives the iPhone a run for its money in a lot of different areas (yes, really).

Despite its obvious lack of an oversized touchscreen interface, Nokia wins points for a remarkably trim profile (10mm vs. 12.3mm), decent 3.2-megapixel camera (instead of 2.0), and the fact it's not tied to any carrier (yet). Most of all, we're stoked they avoided the overcrowded iClone bandwagon by sticking to what they do best: gorgeous hardware packed with a satisfying range of fun(ctional) features.

Setting up Nokia's Mail for Exchange program required no IT help or time. QuickOffice let us create, edit and send Word/Excel/PowerPoint files on the fly while we browsed PDFs with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

The E71 is stocked with enough apps and goodies to keep even the most overworked road warrior on the ball, but it didn't feel too "business." That's mostly due to the fact that the E71 has two separate customizable home screens. One is designed to house all of your work apps like Excel and PowerPoint while the other is geared more towards entertainment with programs for audio, video and gaming. Switching between the two is dead simple, a dedicated button at the top of the menu lets you toggle between the two screens instantly.

The phone's 2.36-inch, 320 x 240 QVGA display is only slightly smaller than the iPod Classic's, and though the resolution can't top the iPhone's, with 15 fps, the E71 is still solid for YouTube clips. The slightly rejiggered QWERTY took some getting used to (the Q-A-Z keys are flush with the chassis), but the learning curve was significantly faster than any touchscreen we've tapped: After three days of iPhoning, typos were relatively common. After three hours with the E71, they're pretty much nonexistent. Oh, and did we mention the E71's got battery life for days? Yes, literally three of them.

WIRED: Up to 8 GB in an easy-to-access, external microSD slot. Quick and seamless OS. GPS, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth (you name it, it's basically got it). Vivid screen (even in direct sunlight). Textured stainless steel backing prevents slippage. Relatively lightweight (127 grams = 6 grams lighter than iPhone). Hit any letter on the QWERTY pad and predictive text calls up that section of your address book.

TIRED: No standard 3.5mm headphone jack. 3.2-megapixel camera's optics could be better.
LED flash could be way better. N-Gage gaming platform not available. Screen's wide, but not wide enough to do a feature-length film justice.

LINUX

LINUX HITS THE i-PHONE

We knew this day would eventually come, but somehow we're still misting up a little.Linux has been ported to the iPhone and iPod touch. Dev Team member planetbeing is the mastermind in charge of bringing everyone's favorite open-source OS to Apple's handhelds, and while it's a little rough around the edges (read: no touchscreen drivers, sound, or WiFi / cell radio support), it's definitely the first step on the road to hacking nirvana.

The team is hard at work, and it even sounds like they're thinking about porting Android in the near future , so hit the read link to try it out and lend a hand if you can or just head on past the break for a quick vid of the port in all its text-scrolling glory.

METAL GEAR SOLID TOUCH i PHONE

for iPod touch & iPhone confirmed

Konami have confirmed that the next title in the Metal Gear Solid series will be for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch. Metal Gear Solid Touch will be an original title set in the MGS4 universe, initially with eight stages of gameplay available; that number is expected to increase. Primary control will be via the iPod’s touchscreen, rather than the accelerometer.

Performing well in the game will see players awarded bonus points; these can then be traded in for exclusive content such as MGS iPhone wallpapers. Full details on the control interface are unclear, but from the two screenshots above expect fingertip sniper-rifle targeting.

According to Konami, Metal Gear Solid Touch will be available worldwide in Spring 2009. No pricing details have been released, nor whether owners of the original iPod touch - which runs slower than the newer second-generation PMP - will suffer reduced frame rates.

APPLE MULTI-TOUCH MICE

Apple’s patents are always very interesting to say the least. Every time we see one we are constantly reminded that Apple not only thinks outside the box, but also manages to stay two steps ahead of everyone else in terms of new ideas and technological innovation.

Ans :- Okay, first of all, let me get this straight! You want to change some of your e-mail settings in Outlook Express, right? Maybe things just aren't going the way you want them to within your e-mail and you just need to do some rearranging. Well, that's no problem. Let's do it.

Open up Outlook Express and go to Tools, Options. Once you're there, click on the Maintenance tab. In that box, you can do a lot of cleaning up, so to speak, in your e-mail program.

You can choose to have all of your e-mails deleted every time you exit out of OE, you can choose to purge some of them and there are also some options in there if you use a newsgroup.

If you're part of a newsgroup, you can have OE delete all of the messages you have already read or you can choose when to have them deleted. Just use the number box to pick how many days you want to wait before the messages are completely cleared out. You can go as low as zero and as high as you so choose!.

A couple of other things you can do for maintenance is clean up any downloaded messages that might be in your system. If you want to do that, click on the Clean Up Now button. You can also change the location of your store folder, which is where your messages are stored. If you want to change that, click on the Store Folder button.

To make any changes, just use the checkboxes and check it if you want it or uncheck it if you don't. It's as simple as that. Now, your e-mail is all cleaned up and ready to go.
